Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd (LSE), a subsidiary of Realmild (M) Sdn Bhd, was incorporated on 26 September 2005 and took over the facilities, operations and all business activities of Sabah Shipyard Sdn. Bhd.
The yard itself had been in existence since 1972 and had built up an extensive and proven track record in oil and gas engineering and fabrication, shipbuilding, ship repair and construction of power barges. LSE is also actively involved in the refitting, modernization and scheduled maintenance of naval crafts.
The current workforce of LSE is about 230 (increase of 30 staff since end 2009). The projector manpower requirement for projects is expected to increase to 300 within 2011 and will further increase to 400 within 2012.

Requirements
* Minimum Higher Secondary/STPM/"A" Level/Pre-U, Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma
* Minimum 2 years hands on experience in same job title
* Proficiency in Quality Management and HSE Management systems
* Proficiency in both Bahasa and English languages, written and oral
* Computer Literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Outlook
* Strong communication skills with ability to form solid network of resources
* Ability to ensure private and confidential Company information remains secured
* Able to multi-task
ENGINEER, E&I
Requirements
* Diploma / Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or its equivalent
* Minimum 8 years project experience from design engineering to construction / commissioning in the oil & gas/ marine industry
ENGINEER, MECHANICAL
Requirements
* Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or any related
* Possesses at least 8 years of working experience in similar capacity in the O&G Industry.
* Able to read and understand engineering and construction shop drawings.
* Able to plan and coordinate with other disciplines for proper work execution.
* Ability to communicate in English is necessary.
ENGINEER, PIPING
Requirements
* Minimum Advanced Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Possesses at least 8 years of working experience in similar capacity in the O&G Industry.
* Able to read and understand engineering and construction shop drawings.
* To execute/check the piping material take-off including all the piping and fittings, insulation, painting, piping, piping support etc
* Co-ordinate with clients, Project Team, other discipline engineers, sub-contractors and vendors
ENGINEER, STRUCTURAL
Requirements
* Minimum Advanced Diploma/ Degree in Structural / Mechanical Engineering.
* Possesses at least 15 years of working experience in similar capacity in the O&G Industry.
* Those Able to read and understand engineering and construction shop drawings.
* Able to plan and coordinate with other disciplines for proper work execution.
* Ability to communicate in English is necessary.
ENGINEER, WELDING
Requirements
* Minimum Advanced Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Possesses at least 8 years of working experience in similar capacity in the O&G Industry.
* Good knowledge of ISO9000/ASME Sec. IX, EN15614, AWS D1.1, etc.
* Thorough knowledge of welding and heat treat standards, processes and systems.
EXECUTIVE, ESTIMATING
Requirements
* Bachelor Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical, E & I or any relevant discipline.
* At least 3 years in similar capacity either in marine or oil & gas industry
* Fresh graduates with lesser experience are also encouraged to apply.
EXPEDITOR
Requirements
* Minimum Diploma/Degree in a related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years working experience in a related industry.
* Good command of spoken and written English.
* Candidates without tertiary education but with vast experience in a related field can also be considered.
IT EXECUTIVE
Requirements
* Minimum Bachelor Degree in Information technology or Computer Science
* Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) would be an advantage
* Strong knowledge in Infor ERP Baan/LN system, Microsoft SQL and ORACLE database.
MANAGER, ENGINEERING
Requirements
* Minimum Diploma/Degree in a related discipline.
* Minimum 10 years working experience in a related industry.
* Good command of spoken and written English.
* Candidates without tertiary education but with vast experience in a related field can also be considered.
MANAGER, QA/QC
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline.
* Possesses at least 15 years of working experience in the field of QA/QC of which at least 5 years in managerial position. Having experience in the O&G industry is an advantage.
* Able to develop and assist in the maintenance of ISO Quality Management System programmes and supporting documentation.
* Coordinate with other functional managers to ensure correct implementation of project guidelines, contracts and other related procedures and undertake quality audits for the implementation of work process and contract procedures.
* Must have thorough knowledge of commercial and quality assurance/control methods, practices, international codes, standards, and procedure to ensure project quality objectives are met.
